For our out of town friends, we have booked some double rooms at a discounted rate at the The Bristol Marriott Royal in the city centre. It's equidistant from our two venues and is the perfect place to stay, especially if it's your first time in the city. The booking runs from Thursday 24 October to Sunday 27 October and you can book it by clicking the button below!
All of our other venues are very central and walkable from all of these hotels:
If you'd like to stay a little further out, Clifton is still close but a lovely area for some extra sightseeing!
As an old British city, Bristol city centre wasn't designed for driving! As a result, it might be best to park your car in a separate car park for a few days and leave it for while you're here, especially as a lot of the central hotels don't have car parking facilities. If you need it, here are a few good car parks:
Also, you could consider using JustPark to reserve a space ahead of time.
Society Cafe (Baldwin St) - Our favourite cafe! It's right on the corner of our road, so Charlie spends a lot of time sat in the window here.
Society Cafe (Harbourside) - Our favourite's sister cafe with lovely views of the harbourside.
Farro Bakery - Unbelieveable pastries - our favourite is the double-baked almond and honey!
Full Court Press - really great coffee right in the middle of the city!
Oddbox - a lovely little coffee shop with a selection of pastries and great brunch options.

Bosco Pizzeria, Whiteladies Road
Nutmeg (Indian) - This is where we celebrated our engagement! The tasting menu is great value and a lot of food!
Salt and Malt (Fish and chips) - Fish and chips but a little posher than normal - they also do beautiful local oysters!
Seven Lucky Gods (Japanese) - Izakaya-style food and cocktails with a Japanese twist.
Bosco Pizzeria - Charlie's favourite Neopolitan style pizza and our go-to takeaway pizza.
Pazzo (Italian-ish) - a new 'Italian-led' restaurant - the menu is unorthodox but great!
The Open Arms - where we had our first date! Head round to the back bar for an even cosier atmosphere.
The Clockwork Rose - probably the best cocktail bar in the city!
The Avon Gorge Hotel - the hotel bar has unbelieveable views over the suspension bridge from its terrace.
Cotto Wine Bar - almost opposite our house - it's attatched to a couple of excellent Italian restaurants too!
The Portcullis - a really cosy, old English style pub with a great beer selection.

In the city:
Take a trip up to the Clifton Suspension Bridge - built by Bristol's most famous son, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the bridge is Bristol's most iconic landmark.
Visit the SS Great Britain - Brunel also built this ship, once the largest passenger ship in the world. Learn about Bristol's rich history as a port city!
Take a tour of the Old City - the centre of Bristol is rich with history - this tour comes especially recommended!
Further afield:
Take a day trip to Bath - Bath is Bristol's neighbouring city, and features some world-famous architecture and Roman baths. You can drive there or grab the train from Temple Meads.
Visit Tyntesfield - a National Trust property, Tyntesfield is an ornate Victorian Gothic Revival house with extensive gardens and parkland.
Visit Stonehenge - while you're here, Stonehenge is only about an hour and a half away by car - go and take a look and stop off in Salisbury, too. The cathedral is famous for its' 123m tall spire!
